In this episode I review a keynote address given by Marvel writer and queer Latinx author Gabby Rivera given at the University of Utah during Women’s Week. In this address Gabby Rivera discusses what it means to for her to be queer and Latinx, as well as how she uses America Chavez, Marvel’s first Latina, lesbian, portal-punching superhero to express this. I touch upon not only Gabby Rivera’s address, but on Gabby Rivera as a presenter and person. This episode also includes clips from Gabby’s address and thoughts given by audience members.
