With no access to Google Mobile Services or even 5G connectivity, and unable to manufacturer its own silicon chips, Huawei fought back with a software response. We will never see the HarmonyOS brand in South Africa, but that doesn’t mean we won’t benefit from the interconnected ecosystem advantages that it brings.
