Our memories are integrated with sensations of the experience: sights, smells, tastes, touch... and sounds. Our lay leader David Kroebel focuses this service on how the music we listen to creates a distinct time capsule for what is going on in one's life at the moment. In David's case, with the help of "mail-order music clubs (remember those?"), then cassette copying, and then ripping and duplicating, into the digital streaming world and intensely curated Spotify playlists. Each time, though, creating an individual time capsule appropriate for every existential crisis that might arise, every critical life event. Recalling and recollecting those memories.
Also: Guided meditation, speculation on what an hour of the Hand of Friendship might be like, and other stray ritualistic spoken bits that keep the ol' Service And More Album soundtrack a-rollin' along.
