"Guilielmo Marconi," was an Italian inventor and electrical engineer known for his pioneering work in the field of wireless telecommunication. Marconi is often credited with the development of the radio and the establishment of the first transatlantic wireless communication.
Born on April 25, 1874, in Bologna, Italy, Marconi came from a wealthy family and was encouraged in his interest in science and engineering. He conducted experiments with radio waves and wireless transmission, leading to his famous demonstration of wireless telegraphy in 1895. In 1901, he successfully transmitted the letter "S" in Morse code from Poldhu, Cornwall, England, to St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, marking the first transatlantic wireless signal.
