Good morning, Washington! I'm your weather buddy bringing you the chilly scoop for the next few days.
Today, we're looking at a crisp and mostly sunny day with temperatures struggling to hit 32 degrees. Those northwest winds will be kicking up to 16 miles per hour, with gusts potentially reaching 30 miles per hour, so bundle up tight!
Tonight gets seriously cold, dropping down to a frosty 15 degrees. Those northwest winds will calm down and shift to a gentle western breeze.
Thursday brings an interesting twist - we've got a 30 percent chance of snow showers after 1 pm. Temperatures will inch up slightly to around 35 degrees, with winds becoming mild from the south.
Friday looks like a classic winter day - sunny and cool, with a high near 41 degrees. The weekend starts with increasing clouds and a 70 percent chance of rain on Saturday, climbing to around 44 degrees.
Sunday brings a potential mix of rain and snow, with temperatures hovering around 41 degrees. Martin Luther King Day continues the winter trend with mostly sunny skies and a high of just 26 degrees.
Next week starts extremely cold, with Tuesday's high reaching a mere 19 degrees. Talk about a winter wonderland!
