Good morning, DC! I'm your weather wizard bringing you the chilly scoop for Washington.
Bundle up, folks, because winter is definitely knocking on our door. Today's forecast is serving up some serious cold with a high near 22 degrees Fahrenheit. We've got a northwest wind crawling at 3 to 5 miles per hour, and there's a chance of some tiny snow flurries after 10 in the morning.
Tonight, expect cloudy skies that'll gradually clear out. Temperatures will plummet to a bone-chilling 9 degrees. The wind will start calm but then shift to a northwest breeze at 5 to 7 miles per hour after midnight.
Wednesday continues our winter wonderland theme with increasing clouds and a high barely reaching 21 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill values will make it feel like negative 1 degree, so layers are your best friend.
As we move into Thursday and Friday, we'll see a slight warmup. Expect mostly sunny skies with highs around 33 degrees Fahrenheit. The weekend looks a bit more interesting with temperatures climbing to 37 on Saturday and potentially reaching 44 on Sunday.
By Sunday night, we might see a mix of rain and snow, so keep those umbrellas and snow boots ready.
