Welcome to the fifty-third episode of the Womanthology podcast.

Womanthology is the digital magazine and professional community powered by female energy and ingenuity. We champion equal recognition and reward for everyone, sharing opportunities, ideas and a deep pool of collective wisdom – supporting each other to be unstoppable.

In this episode, we chat with Professor Liz Bentley, chief executive at the Royal Meteorological Society. Liz shares her fascinating career journey from doing her own weather forecasts as a child, to studying mathematics before joining the Met Office. She’s also spent time forecasting weather for the military, trained other forecasters, managed the BBC Weather Centre and worked in environmental research before joining the Royal Meteorological Society as head of communications, and eventually going on the become chief executive. She shares her career advice and suggests ways we can all do our bit to help achieve our Net Zero aspirations.
