Ballina, ancestral home of President Joe Biden's paternal relatives, provides a great location for visiting the region from hilltops to lakeside to the Wild Atlantic Way and is a wonderful city with a charming shopping area that offers boutique stores in a village-like setting complete with department store options as well.
