Shaq, like a few of our other guests played some indoor football. He bounced around a few teams in a few different leagues in the indoor football world including the NAL. Following some time playing indoor football, Shaq was presented with a very intriguing offer (and something we have not had on the show yet), to go and play America football in Brazil. While still icing his knees, Shaq was given this option and he had to decide quickly (which is often the case with our guests). Shaq took the option and went to Brazil to play. What makes Shaq different than our other international American football guests, however, is the fact that Shaq is a lineman. Most of the leagues in Europe have a limited number of imports which usually leads to them only getting a quarterback or a running back. However, Shaq will make a decent argument for why these teams should consider taking a good lineman as one of their imports. During this offseason they have seen significant growth. The league often compares themselves to what AA baseball is here in the US, meaning that they are the 3rd highest talent-level of basketball in the US; first being the NBA and the G-League being second.
