If you watched any tv during the 90's & 2000's in North America there is a good chance that you have seen the legendary House Hippo commercial that brought the idea to life that there were indeed hippos who lived in peoples homes. It was a PSA ad in order to teach people not to believe everything they saw on tv but for many children like myself this was a commercial full of imagination and the idea that pet hippos could indeed be true!
