I present this as an exercise of what we may have to do if some of wacko governors have their way and limited an High School student's access to information about slavery and discrimination in America. Or any other topic. One thing we can do is read the textbooks on Zoom or some similar podcast source, read to the next generation about any topic, and let them figure what to make of the facts, rather than keep them in the dark about the bad, the good and the ugly, by withholding from them what happened in American History. The text book I used was the one I used in Advance Placement History in High School. I recommend you get a young-un to listen and see what they think of this abbreviated class, and how they think of it as an alternative or supplemental vehicle of instruction. There's also a discussion about the deal that is the $2 Trillion stimulus package - and how it landed well short for Main Street and gave a $1/2 Trillion dollars to Wall Street.. In addition we can't overlook that Trump and our leaders in the House and Senate knew of the danger before they told us, one Senator told his high rollers and sold off shares with his insider trading. This is my maiden voyage - my first podcast. Imagine it's Sunday when we're having this conversation. I thought of it as a Sunday in NY where I once lived, the paper spread out, bagel and a schmere, with friends talking about the news. Of course, this podcast is a monologue. The news is the primaries - the dilemmas facing all candidates, the interference in the elections and what we can expect in the general election - and what we might do. As a side note, but not breaking news, I pay some homage to my favorite on-air journalist and host - MSNBC's Ari Melber.
