If you’ve read the news lately, you have likely heard about quiet quitting.

Unlike what the name suggests, quiet quitting isn’t about terminating your employment. It means to fly under the radar and do exactly what’s required of you as an employee — no more, no less.

In a word, it’s coasting.

This phenomenon is an organized response to burnout culture. It’s a way to “opt-out” of the hustling lifestyle.

As you can imagine…I have thoughts.

In today’s episode, we discuss:

  1. What is quiet quitting and how it caught on as a “movement”
  2. Research from Harvard Business Review on what improves employee performance (and what contributes to quiet quitting)
  3. How quiet quitting is a call to action for employees and Leaders — and what to do next!

Here are other resources I mention:

Stay connected to Diary of a Doer:

Have you subscribed to my podcast? If the answer is no, I’d love for you to subscribe. Diary of a Doer is full of stories of business, some behind-the-scenes, and freaking amazing guests.

If you’re feeling really generous, I’d love for you to give me a review on Apple Podcasts. Simply select “Ratings and Reviews” and “Write a Review” then a quick line with your favorite part of the episode. It only takes a second and it helps me out a ton!
