Do you sometimes envy the animals, not needing to prove their existence, simply existing? There's no doubt that our species have created some wonderful things with our advanced brains, but this evolution has caused us to also question our own existence; something the animals (as far as we know) do not do. Does this ability to question our own existence make us smarter, or does it ultimately cause more suffering? If our brains are constantly evolving, then why does our culture put limits on what is the acceptable display of behaviour? How can we know who we truly are when our culture is telling us to always strive to be something more? Welcome to the land of no easy answers...
