In this weeks' episode our feature is all about 5 extra activities that take place during the school holidays on the Isle of Wight. Something different to entertain the whole family without breaking the bank. We even throw in a wet weather activity for those (few and far between) rainy days on the Island.
In the NewsThis week in the News Tony kicks things off with a congratulations and mention to the Wash the Wight team who have carried various household appliances around the island to raise money for charity. Ali's news is about a campaign to get an Isle of Wight historic resident, Julia Margaret Cameron, onto the new £20 notes. Please note that the nominations have now closed.
5 special activities for all the family for the school holidays 1. Blackgang ChineSpecial extended opening every Monday & Wednesday in the school holidays as well as live music, entertainment and fireworks.
2. Robin HillExtended opening hours and special activities taking place every Tuesday and Thursday.
3. CarnivalsAlmost every major town on the Isle of Wight will be hosting a carnival throughout the school holidays. You will certainly see a carnival or two whilst you are here.
