God Wants Everyone to Thrive. Do We?
Those of us who claim to believe that God is a God of love, need to be willing to move beyond our own desires to see revenge and punishment. We have to understand that the righteousness of God is far more about wellbeing rather than retribution.
Many scriptures point to this including this one from 1 Timothy: “This is right and acceptable before God our Savior, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:3-4)
Our constant prayer must be that God gives us hearts filled with empathy, understanding and compassion. We pray that we love our enemies and those that we see as others even as we oppose the harm they may be endeavoring to do.
God wants to see everyone thrive and made whole. Do we? That’s the real question.
