Burnout recovery involves more than just taking a break from stress. That's why so many vacations just make you wish you didn't have to head back to...wait! Could it be that burnout recovery is about creative restoration? Listen in to find out

  1. Burnout comes from having a lack of resources, over-dominance of mundane and routine tasks and no space for inspiration.
  2. Creativity is what gives us the resiliency to avoid getting burned out.
  3. Creativity requires energy, not just time. That energy comes from inspiration.
  4. Often the sources of burnout are little things that we tolerate or take on that add up to a burden over time.
  5. When you feel too exhausted, apathetic or afraid to pursue exploratory, transformational or combinatorial work, you have choked off your creative supply. You only see adversity, not challenge or opportunity.
  6. Restore your creativity by breaking the cycle and challenging yourself to do something different and adventurous.
