#149-That Big Scary Word In Business Land! It's ➡️ MARKETING!

There’s a big scary word out there in business land! Do you know what that word is? That word is ➡️ MARKETING!

You might have had a wave of heat wash over you when you heard that word! And maybe even had your stomach do a summersault, or even worse-your heart started beating really fast! Either way, the word marketing can be scary if you’ve never had any experience or have tried to do any marketing for yourself or your new or existing business.

I am by no means a marketing expert, I’m just sharing what I’ve done and what has worked really well and I turn to God for guidance too, because God comes first in my life and in my business, and not to mention that He has shown me things I would have never thought of myself.

So make sure you turn to God for guidance in everything that you do, you’ll be so happy that you did. I can say that with certainty.

The things I’ll talk about are really simple ways to get started doing your marketing-and the type of marketing I want to talk about is called referral marketing, or word of mouth marketing.

And this is where you start by telling the people you know about your business like what service you have or what product or products you are selling, and who you and if it’s specifically for a men or women, etc.

The more specific you get the better.

The best kind of marketing for these reasons:

1. it doesn’t cost you any money, especially if you are starting out in your business and you don’t have a lot of money to spend on marketing, or if you don’t have any money at all.

2. you don’t have to spend hours and hours a day because you’re creating that ripple effect

3. people are more likely to trust you if they were referred to you by someone they know. And please be a person that someone can trust when doing business with you.

4. you can get testimonials from these referrals after they do business with you.

I’ve never had to pay for any kind of ads for my business, but you never know one day I might.

If you’re afraid to call or verbally tell someone, then send them a text message, an email, or maybe even something in the mail! There’s not a lot of people sending cute little announcements in the mail these days

Years ago I had to help the sewing store that I worked for put together the ad for the newspaper and it’s not any different now.

It’s a lot of work because you have to figure out who you want to market to, what are the words to use in the ad that will get people’s attention and make them want to read the ad, then you have to decide what image to use and the colors the Ad.
