If you think a career runs in a straight line, think again. In this episode of the Career Talk Podcast for Young Professionals, Astrid Hofmann from Cultural Transition Consulting shares with Sean Ryan from JCI Eastern her career experience and discusses about finding “the red thread” or the things that motivate us to start a great career.

Show notes:

When we first start out our career, we often think our career is defined by what we studied in school. This is often not the case.

In this Career Talk episode, Dr Suzi Chen and Shiva Gopalan (JCI Australia), with the help of JCI Eastern volunteer investigative journalist Sean Ryan and industry expert Astrid Hofmann from Cultural Transition Consulting, look at how our career may be shaped by factors such as cultural experiences and volunteering.

And as suggested by Astrid, through regular self-reflection, we can learn to identify the “red thread” for our career and turn our experiences into skills for career building.
