Research by consultancy McKinsey has found that, in the case of ethnic and cultural diversity, there is a strong business case for companies whose senior management was more culturally and ethnically diverse. It found that, in 2019, top-quartile companies outperformed those in the fourth one by 36 per cent in profitability, slightly up from 33 per cent in 2017 and 35 per cent in 2014.
