Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s episode of the Goalie Hacks Podcast, and today on the show I have another stellar guest lined up today, former USHL, NCAA D1, and long time professional standout turned veteran Goalie Coach and Assistant Coach at the next level currently with the North Dakota Fighting hawks, Coach Karl Goehring.
We dive briefly into the hardest part about transitioning to Prep Hockey initially and the areas of struggle. Major struggles or adjustments made to compete at the junior level in USHL. Most important skill kids can start developing to make sure they are ready for the challenges at Junior Hockey. Big misconception amongst Minor Hockey Goalies and parents about Pro Hockey that needs more clarity. Most important and common characteristics that Goalies who typically find success at the next level possess. Best two hacks – either on or off ice that helps goalies find success much quicker.
