Menopause is defined as the moment when a woman has not menstruated for 12 consecutive months. Perimenopause is the period before that when hormones are declining and can last as long as TEN YEARS! So while menopause is a finish line, perimenopause is the marathon. 🩸
Alegre is about to enter year 10 of perimenopause, while Natascha isn't exactly sure what year she's in, but has been experiencing symptoms for a few years.
In this podcast, we talk about our very different individual experiences in part 1. Then in part 2, we go into detail about some of the things we are doing to ensure our health and to take care of ourselves (self-care!). 📋
