Josie R. Evans is a retired United States Army Chief Warrant Officer Four with over 20 years of distinguished service as an expert logistician. Throughout her military career, she demonstrated unparalleled leadership and dedication, serving in various capacities worldwide, including humanitarian missions, disaster relief efforts, and combat operations such as Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Her exceptional service has earned her numerous prestigious awards, including the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star Medal. She currently works for Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation, Huntsville, AL, as a Program Integrator. She has also worked part-time as a Mental Health Therapist.
Josie holds a bachelor’s degree in social psychology from Park University, a master’s in management with a concentration in Logistics from Florida Institute of Technology, and a Master’s in Psychology Counseling with an emphasis in Rehabilitation from Alabama A&M University. She is pursuing a doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy focusing on Theology, reflecting her deep commitment to integrating faith and counseling in her future work. Recognized for her expertise, Josie has achieved the esteemed title of Demonstrated Master Logistician (DML), the highest level of recognition awarded by the International Society of Logistics (SOLE). Her leadership and mentoring extend beyond her military career. She is an active Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. member and is involved in several women's empowerment groups. Josie's role as a respected motivational speaker, mentor, and life coach is a testament to her nurturing and supportive nature, empowering others through her insights and experiences.
In addition to her professional achievements, Josie is a passionate advocate for physical, mental, and emotional health. She has served her community as a spiritual dance teacher and mentor, and she remains engaged in various outreach organizations, including the North Alabama Veterans and Fraternal Organizations Coalition, a lifetime member of the Warrant Officer Association and the Executive Committee for the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), Redstone Chapter.
Josie established the CW5 Julian A. Evans III Foundation in memory of her late husband, CW5 Julian A. Evans III, who passed away in July 2023 while serving in the line of duty. Through this foundation, Josie continues to honor her husband’s legacy by supporting initiatives that uplift the community, particularly in the areas of education and veteran support. Her unwavering faith, leadership, and dedication to service define her ongoing commitment to making a lasting impact on the lives of others.
