Nikola Tesla, born on July 10, 1856, in Smiljan, Croatia, was a visionary inventor and electrical engineer who made groundbreaking contributions to the modern world. Renowned for his work on alternating current (AC) electrical systems, Tesla's innovations laid the foundation for the widespread use of electricity today. He held hundreds of patents and was responsible for pioneering technologies such as the Tesla coil, induction motor, and wireless transmission of electricity.
