For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.” Romans 13:1 In this episode we read where Paul is addressing the people of His day about respecting authority and those who are in authority, it shows when we respect authority we honor God. Laws are not meant to restrict us from our liberties and freedoms or rights but they are put in place to govern us. God wants us also to show respect to those who serve it is very important. “Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.” Romans 13:8 NLT Love is the ultimate respect for one another, if we show love for one another we show that we love God who loves us.
