1969年夏天，四名來自「曼森家族」的年輕人潛入天堂大道10050號宅邸內，將當時懷有8個月身孕的女星莎朗蒂，與她三名親密好友殘忍殺害。並且在犯案後，以受害者的血液在白色的正門門板上，大大地寫下「PIG」三個字。
隔天，警方接獲另一起發生於洛杉磯住宅區的命案，受害者是朗畢安卡夫婦，他們被人以同樣殘酷的手段殺害。
這兩起手法殘忍的命案立刻引起警方高度關注，整個洛杉磯也因此人心惶惶。
今天，就讓我們來聊聊這兩起接連發生在1969年8月的兇殺案，以及當時痛下殺手的「曼森家族（The Manson Family）」。
