Recent studies have shown that stress may occur during the COVID-19 pandemic owing to unexpected negative events related to the infection and may trigger more stress than many expected events. COVID-19 patients experience physical stress along with psychological stress due to the uncertainty, and fear associated with COVID-19.
Also, the immune system acts as a defensive army that scouts the entire body to protect against pathogens. Emotional strain interferes with immune system functioning. Psychological stress, an emotional stress, can dampen the body’s defense system, leading to an increased sensitivity to many infections.
Global research indicates that between 10 and 30 percent of people who get COVID-19 will develop long COVID – a condition which can last for months, with symptoms and recovery times that can vary between individuals. In addition to unpleasant physical symptoms such as fatigue, muscle pain and brain fog, many are facing low moods, depression and anxiety for the future.
This Mindfulness meditation for Managing long COVID course has been developed to support people on their recovery journey and to help them live with their symptoms while their body is healing. Study finds intense mindfulness meditation may boost immunity.

Originally written in Sanskrit, it has been translated into many languages, including Mandarin and English.
