David Pastrnak stepped up, alright. After being called out by Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery after Game 6, Pastrnak broke through the Toronto Maple Leafs defense in Game 7 to score to overtime series winner off a beautiful set play executed by Hampus Lindholm.

Lindholm played one of his best games as a Bruin, adding an earlier game-tying goal and leading the team in shots, while Jeremy Swayman was near perfect once again, finishing with a .950 save percentage.

With that, the Bruins dispose of the Leafs and are off to the second round where they'll face the Florida Panthers.

Whatever happens moving forward, this has been a positive step forward for a group in transition.
