Boy who lost hands and legs to meningitis receives R2D2-inspired bionic arm

An 11-year-old quadruple amputee recently received a specially customized prosthetic arm with help from UK-based robotics company Open Bionics.
Casting director, Mark Summers is looking for people who have suffered from meningococcal disease. This is for a public service announcement about meningitis awareness that will air on TV and other media outlets. The emphasis is on bringing awareness to parent and the public at large to better understand this disease and encourage families to speak with their health care provider about preventative options. Mark Summers Casting is specifically interested in people of diverse ethnic backgrounds and people from South Africa, ages 6 months to 22 years old who have visible consequences from meningitis such as missing limbs, prosthetics or hearing aids.If this is you, please send submissions to the email address mystory@marksummers.com
