What do you really want? It’s a question we often answer with things we don’t have—a bigger house, a better job, more time. But what if the most powerful wants are the ones you already have? The partner you chose, the kids you prayed for, the home you once dreamed of, or the life you built step by step.

✨ Deciding again: Stop living in default mode. Revisit your goals, your routines, your identity, and ask yourself: “Do I still choose this?”
✨ Wanting what you already have: Go beyond gratitude and affirm the value of what’s in front of you—your relationships, home, family, and even yourself.

- Write 25 things you want, big or small, to reconnect with your desires.
- Make a second list of 25 things you already have that you still want.
When you choose your life again, you shift from scarcity to abundance. You rediscover joy in what you’ve built and set the stage for growth—not out of longing, but from appreciation.

What do I want? What do I already have that I still want?

She is a best-selling author and host of the Not So Normal Parenting podcast.
Her podcast is entitled Not So Normal Parenting because not only are she and her kids neurodivergent but some of her life experiences, such as driving off a cliff her wedding night and going viral for embarrassing her seventeen-year old son by dancing on a snowy and jammed interstate, fall into that category. In addition to being talked about by Hoda Kotb, the BackStreet Boys, and Princess Kate, even U2 singer Bono mentioned the incident in his autobiography.
Because Wendy herself has struggled as a helicopter parent, a cranky parent and an embarrassing parent, she wants to help other parents struggle……..a little bit less!
