Episode 95 of One Minute Health Hacks with DrJeff gives you a simple calculation to use as a starting point for the amount of protein you should be eating. The recommended daily allowance is .36 grams of protein per pound of lean body weight if you have a sedentary lifestyle. Most natural health practitioners believe this is far too low and likely should be double if you have an active lifestyle. Studies show that most people do not consume enough protein as they age.
