The Perrysburg Podcast is an informational podcast for prospective, new, and current Perrysburg, OH residents. We talk about what’s in Perrysburg and why people like to live here. You can find the show notes for this episode on perrysburgpodcast.com.

Today, we’re talking about The Norma Stark Memory Garden and Labyrinth. Norma Stark was my band teacher (or “music teacher”) in elementary school. I learned how to play the saxophone in 5th and 6th grade in her class. Out of gratitude for her role in my life, I am publishing this episode around the Thanksgiving holiday.

Description of the Norma Stark Memory Garden and Labyrinth

Norma designed the garden and labyrinth to be a sanctuary for peace, prayer, meditation, and healing. The garden and the labyrinth were originally created to honor the memory of Norma’s parents, Norman and Annabelle Swaisgood. The labyrinth was completed in 2007.

Alice Buehrle is the Founder of the Norma (Swaisgood) Stark Memory Garden and Labyrinth Foundation and is the President of the Board. The board ensures that Norma’s wishes and dreams for the garden labyrinth continue on in Perrysburg, OH.

  • How it got its name and who Norma Stark was
  • What the labyrinth looks like and the best way to experience it
  • People and groups who have visited the memory garden and labyrinth
  • How to schedule a group tour
  • Why people visit
