Pastor Omar continued his compelling series titled "The Cry of Sodom," exploring the various sins that led to God's judgment upon Sodom and Gomorrah. While the cities are often primarily associated with the sin of homosexuality, Pastor Omar emphasized that there were other significant transgressions that contributed to their downfall.

Drawing from the historical accounts in the Book of Jasher, he discussed the coalition of five cities that made up Sodom and Gomorrah. Last Sunday's focus was on fornication as the initial sin. This week, Pastor Omar delved into the topics of robbery and ridicule. He narrated how the citizens of Sodom would steal from travelers entering the city to sell goods, highlighting a culture of deceit and injustice.

Pastor Omar drew parallels to modern society, pointing out that robbery remains a pervasive issue in America, affecting countless cities and towns. He reminded the congregation that stealing violates one of the Ten Commandments: "Thou shalt not steal." Emphasizing that God detests stealing because it reflects the actions of Satan—who sought to usurp God's throne—he cited Scripture that describes Satan as one who comes "to steal, kill, and destroy."

The sermon served as a powerful call for believers to distinguish themselves from the prevailing sins of the culture. As Hebrew Christians, Pastor Omar urged everyone to live separate and holy lives, not partaking in the sinful practices that surround us. By adhering to God's commandments and embodying His righteousness, we can stand as beacons of light in a world that often mirrors the injustices of ancient Sodom.
