In this episode, I’m joined by Jody Defries, a wife and mother to 8 beautiful children, as we talk about her journey to homeschooling. Jody’s journey began when she attended university with a major in music and English. She married the two and went into education, where she discovered through her practicums the trend of frenetic classroom management and the limited resources available to teachers. With a high-energy son, she knew he would be called out for negative behaviour in the classroom. That’s when she heard the call from God to homeschool.
Raising children that don’t fit into the typical school system. The advantages of homeschooling. The importance of getting out in nature when homeschooling.
