At the heart of the Government’s agenda for the growth and competitiveness of the UK economy and financial services as a sector critical to these ambitions, is a renewed focus on skills, increasing the talent pool and workforce development. It’s a fast-moving landscape and this series aims to bring developments to members’ attention to help them navigate the changes that will inevitably come which may have a significant impact on how they approach their own development or that of others. “Skills Conversations” is a podcast series designed to enlighten members of the Chartered Banker Institute about the evolving landscape of skills in financial services. The series also encourages active engagement, inviting listeners to contribute their ideas and perspectives to help better inform the policy discussion around apprenticeships and skills more generally. Host(s): Mark Roberts, Head of Learning Partnerships, Chartered Banker Institute . Mark is one of the UK’s thought leaders around apprenticeships in financial services (See Annex A). Guest(s) Luke Lyons, Process Improvement Manager at Lloyds Banking Group and Level 7 finance apprentice.…
