1996 was a year full of great music and a time when artists were still interested in the art of making a great album from start to finish. We've chosen 16 of the best from 1996 to pit against each other in a battle to determine the best overall. Giff and Brad have called in the reserves for help voting and reminiscing. Three return guests who really know their stuff (Danaca, Craig, and Rappe) join in for the fun.
This one got long, so it's split into two parts. In Part 1, we'll discuss memories of 1996, both personal and music-related, and we'll vote our way through the first half of the bracket. Albums discussed in Part 1 include:
