In this episode, Doug and Jean do a deep dive on Peter Jackson's 7 ½ hour Beatles documentary, “Get Back.” The guys try their hardest to point the camera out of the window of Abbey Road Studios to better give context where there is otherwise very little.
Footnotes and Follies:
*The offer Lorne Michaels made to The Beatles in the infamous sketch was $3000.00
*Rock And Roll Circus was finally released in October of 1996
*The last Beatles concert before the Get Back sessions took place on August 29th 1966. It happened on the Revolver tour but little to no songs were performed from the album due to the difficulty of reproducing George Martin's studio trickery live.
