Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. It is the Christmas season and you may be spending lots of time with your family and friends, or have to attend of facilitate festive events for work over the next few weeks. Perhaps you can bring your TTRPG hobby along for the ride? This is a question many players have struggled with since the inception of the hobby - how do I get others to play D&D with me if they know nothing about it or have reservations about playing based on sensational or inaccurate stories they might have heard? I decided to see what advice is out there for introducing the game to your non-gaming acquaintances, and give my comments and thoughts on this advice as well. Tune in to hear what piece of advice I was expecting to see repeated several times, but was shocked only to see once.
