After describing the rebellion to God that caused nations to be vomited out of the land, God now moves to laws that are about making them a holy and righteous people. He starts with fearing your father and mother. The heart of the gospel is about accepting an authority other than yourself and that starts with accepting that your parents have real authority over you. Being a holy people also means that God can sets the schedule, so He continues with keeping the Sabbath day. Next He talks about not using images in worship. Worshiping the creature rather than that Creator is the nature of man. Reducing the God who is spirit into something that we can handle or look at is not something that a holy people do. The last thing is about sharing with others and not making it about ourselves. If you have peace with God, you bless others.
