At the very center of the Gospel is the proclamation that Jesus made in Luke 4: "I have come to heal broken hearts." That mandate that Jesus declared over himself is also true of every believer. The Holy Spirit is the healer of our broken hearts and the result is that we become healers of the broken hearted that we encounter in the world.
