This is our chaotic engagement story…and probably if I feel like being honest, our *slighlty* chaotic podcast :)
Just picture you're at Thanksgiving with your family and everyones talking over each other and stopping the cousin sitting on their right because YOU FORGOT TO SHARE THIS PART and WAIT that's not how it happened…and is dinner ready yet??!?!
I suspect you’ll feel right at home–that’s our hope at least.
A little backstory: we’ve been together for over 7 years now and just got engaged in Mexico. We’ve got 2 giant dogs and a ball python and we currently live in Boston. We’ve been through a lot of sh*t together, very narrowly avoiding breakups at times and yet through it all…from some of the first moments we met, we both knew, this is for the long haul. We’ve sabotaged, been toxic af, and communicated in the most heinous ways…we’ve also gone to couples therapy, watched each other have the most incredible breakthroughs and had spontaneous dance parties in Target.
We have a pretty deep, grotesque understanding of long-term monogamous relationships and we wanna share that bounty with the world.
I’m also VERYYYY much of the mind that messy is better than perfect, so consider yourself prepared for some laundry tumbling in the background, more than a few uhhhhhhs and talking over one another from time to time. We’re human. We’re real and the purpose here is to not come across like the PERFECT couple.
