Who knows what this new year will bring? Whatever it brings, there is one thing we ALL want… Inner Peace! Rather than waiting for our circumstances to give us peace, we can cultivate inner peace! Paramahansa Yogananda’s book, Inner Peace – How to be Calmly Active and Actively Calm, shows us exactly how to do this. This is why I believe this is the perfect book for this new year!   1. Yogananda says that ‘Ordinary life is like a pendulum, ceaselessly swinging back and forth. The peaceful person remains calm until he is ready to work, then he swings into action. As soon as he is through, he swings back to the center of calmness.’

  2. “You should always be calm, like the pendulum that is still, but ready to swing into steady action whenever necessary.”

  3. The pages I read in this episode are page 59 (Sabbath) and pages 41-43 (relaxation).
