Vancouver Whitecaps FC have a new right back, Seattle Sounders FC are MLS Cup champions, and the league’s offseason is in full swing after new clubs Atlanta United and Minnesota United took part in Tuesday’s Expansion Draft. All that on the December 14th edition of Soccer Talk, presented by Metrotown Orthopedic & Sports Physiotherapy and KazLaw, as the guys broadcast from the Barber and Co. studios.

On this episode, Tyler and Simon look back at last weekend’s MLS Cup Final, as Seattle claimed their inaugural league title over hosts Toronto FC in a penalty shootout. Does their triumph heap more pressure on the Whitecaps to contend next season? The guys also discuss the club’s latest acquisition in right back Sheanon Williams from Houston Dynamo.

Marc Rizzardo of Metrotown Physio checks in to discuss why he feels Trinidad & Tobago have made a mistake in appointing former Canadian women’s national team head coach Carolina Morace as their new women’s team head coach.

Simon has his three things to watch out for, plus provides his thoughts in ‘Simon Says’ on the continued rumours of a new Canadian professional league. Has the time come for official news to be announced on the proposed ‘Canadian Premier League’ or is the #CanPL project still a ways away from becoming a reality? Plus Tyler weighs in on that same topic.

All that and more on the December 14th version of Soccer Talk!
