Hey there surfers and beachgoers! Welcome to your surf forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard.
For Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches, we've got a moderate rip current risk with surf heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet. No thunderstorms expected, but water temperatures are a bit chilly at 55 to 64 degrees. Keep an eye out for mixed west and south swells as you hit the waves.
Heading into Saturday, the rip current risk remains moderate with similar surf heights and more mixed swells to keep things interesting.
Now, over in Ventura County Beaches, also sporting a moderate rip current risk, surf heights are consistent at 2 to 4 feet. Water temps are slightly warmer at 56 to 58 degrees, and you'll be dealing with mixed northwest and south swells.
Santa Barbara County Southwestern and Southeastern Coast are looking at a low rip current risk with smaller 1 to 3 feet surf heights, so perfect for beginners or a chill surf session. Water temps are a bit more comfortable at 58 to 59 degrees with a northwest swell.
For San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches, get ready for some action with 4 to 7 feet surf heights mixing it up this afternoon through Friday. Saturday will see a drop to 2 to 4 feet with a south swell coming your way.
Remember, whether you're catching waves in Malibu, Ventura, Santa Barbara, or San Luis Obispo, always keep an eye out for rip currents, and most importantly, have a blast out there! This has been a Quiet Please Studios audio creation with the help of AI. Please subscribe and never miss a Swell! Thank you for listening.
