"Over the course of 2021 I have kept my mind open for any new bands that I may find on the odd Spotify playlist or something like that and what do you know, at the beginning of January, I was getting my ears filled with new music from The Dirty Nil's new album "F*ck Art". I loved the heavy guitar riffs in their songs like "Doom Boy" and the amazing vocals along with beautiful harmonies. There was just something so simple but different about this band and I haven't stopped listening to them since. I reached out to Luke Bentham (the bands lead singer) on Instagram and was able to get him on the show as the last interview of SEASON 1. I hope you enjoy!"

Although this weeks guest did not play on this record, by his band, I thought it put a funny spin on the podcasts name, 'Talk and Rock'. In the end i decided not to go for that and kept the irony to myself. I saw Propagandhi live for the first time on the Sunday of Thanksgiving Weekend this year (Oct. 10). It was the final show of their 3 show run at the newly renovated Park Theatre here in Winnipeg. I was and still am a newer fan of Propagandhi as the band had never crossed my path until recently. However, I have no regrets that I went because it was without a doubt the best show I've ever seen. I was front row and enjoyed every moment. What caught my eye the most was their bassist Todd (this weeks guest) hopping around on stage or 'feeling the tunes' as he says.
