Manage episode 275542003 series 2681429
An actual play TTRPG show by beginners, for beginners. Follow us as we stumble through learning how to play the games online.
In this episode we try our hands at the Call of Cthulhu Quick Start rules and adventure “The Haunting” – check out our other episodes where play the official D&D5e WOTC published starters set adventure, The Lost Mine of Phandelver,
Back in the summer and the height of the covid-19 pandemic we recorded some special bonus episodes.
Lisa who plays Millicent on our regular D&D podcast was on nightingale duties looking after her family ill with the coronavirus, AND with James who plays Scapes off too as he had no working internet connection, we were faced with the dilema of what else we can do instead.
So with less than 6 hours to prep, we decide to play a new game, none of us have ever played before! Why not?
In the first half we discuss the game mechanics and build some characters together, Dave Pisswinkle – a washed up up conspiracy theorist journalist, Dick Casey – a disgraced ex New York city cop, now making a living as a Private Eye, and we’re joined by our friend Emily playing Dorothy Bridge – an English Professor with a passion for unsolved mysteries….
Can our team of investigators from 1920s era Boston solve the mystery of “The Haunting of Corbitt House”
