Donald Dodson is the amazing owner of Dodson Designs where he crafts fine handmade leather goods with a creative flair! He is a life-long artisan who loves sharing his interests with others, he has explored many arts including: jewelry, printmaking, pottery, woodworking, and painting, all of which he uses in his current work.

He is most passionate about creating something that is not only artistic, interesting, and creative; but something that has an inherent practical use to the client.

As a full-time leather smith and artist, clutter is just part of the process. During the creative process it is easy to "collect" lots of hardware, found objects, and some would say, “trash.” However these remnants are useful in his work & art. The temptation to save that cool scrap is pretty high! Donald has been a graphic artist, web designer and a high school history teacher. Donald is a combat veteran and served for 20 years. He started Dodson Designs in 2016 and never looked back. He lives near Lancaster, PA with his wife, two dogs and a cat that adopted them.
