On this Season 2 Finale Episode of the Hungarian Heritage Podcast, I again have the pleasure of speaking with Ilka Kocsis, the author of Ilka’s Kitchen. Like bookends to this season, Ilka was my first guest of Season 2, and now she is back on the podcast for the finale episode of Season 2 to talk about her experience as a winner and participant of the Balassi Summer University Scholarship Program in Budapest during the summer of 2023, which is organized by the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. We are going to discuss all the details of Ilka’s four week cultural immersion experience… from the application process, to the travel logistics, to the housing and food accommodations, and of course we will discuss the daily schedule of Hungarian language classes and cultural experiences included in the scholarship. Once you hear Ilka tell us about all of the amazing things that are included in this program, I am sure that you will want to apply for the scholarship for next summer.
