Dr. Sara is an older IMG who immigrated to the US for personal reasons, and found herself at the foot of the residency application process. She knew it would be stressful, but she decided that she wasn't going to give up until she obtained the position she knew she deserved. After not Matching the first cycle, she was able to obtain 27 months of US clinical experience, strong LORs and several publications which severely boosted her application and ultimately led to a Pre-Match offer in Internal Medicine.
