Mark 11:15 "And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; 16And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. 17And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. 18And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine." Have you ever considered this verse from a personal perspective? You know, the whole, "we are the temple of God" thing that the apostle Paul and Jesus Himself talked about. Maybe it is time to consider the above passage a little differently. Ask yourself some simple questions: What is the condition of your heart? Are you a sayer of prayer? Or a prayer of prayer? Did you even know that there was a difference? Are your thoughts primarily filled with the things of God, the cry of His heart, His passion for saving lost souls? Or are you thinking about your temporary, earthly kingdom and all your material possessions? Do you think more about the race that God has set before you and untangling yourself from the sin that beguiles you? Or are you too busy with the things of this world? Do you think of God or do you drink of God? Jesus wasn't kidding around when He went wild in the Temple flipping tables and whipping people. He wants to do the same thing to you and me. He needs to do the same thing to you and me...so that we can get our Temples cleaned out and rededicated for their original purpose: Praising God! The last question that you need to ask yourself is: Will you let Him?
