Kate NV spielt auf "WOW" tänzelnden, abstrakten und schwer greifbaren Pixel-Pop, der von Strukturen und ganzen Sätzen nichts wissen will und doch beim Pop landet. Auch die Portugiesin Marlene Ribeiro zieht auf ihrem sensationellen Debüt-Album Pop auf links und nutzt dafür pluckernde und wabernde Nicht-Beats, die sich in fließender Musik ergeben. Bass-Musik, Grime und Hip-Hop vereint der in Manchesters Musikszene umtriebige Chunky auf einem Album, das Pirate Radio, Clubs, Sofas, Beifahrersitze und Kopfhörer mitdenkt. Die Slowcore/Emo/Postrocker deathcrash betätigen das ohnehin in Eierschalen gekleidete Gaspedal noch zaghafter und präsentieren wuchtige Leerstellen-Musik für die Nacht. Erik Hall formt derweil seine Minimal-Interpretation einer fast 50 Jahre alten Komposition in mehr als 100 Sätzen im Alleingang.
